This past weekend [livejournal.com profile] ursule and I went to Lionhearts, which was down in Orting, WA (a bit east of Tacoma). I love the site we use down there... it's bounded on two sides by a river and has tons of trees, it's lovely. We spent most of the weekend just relaxing and hanging out. [livejournal.com profile] ursule taught a couple of classes, I filed out a couple more punches for my coin minting (though I still need to do a bit of finishing and harden them). I also stepped up as seneschal of The College of Saint Bunstable, which basically makes me the club president of the SCA at UW.

Monday night we had dinner with my parents, who just returned from vacation in Italy and Scotland. They brought us all sorts of cool stuff, including a new scotch tasting glass and a couple little bottles of scotch that I've never tried before. Neat!

My moped calls to me on these beautiful days, but it is not yet healed from the seize. I have ridden it a bit after upjetting, but it runs like shit due to all the air leaks. Patience. Once the new parts are in it will be reborn, and I will tear through the streets with fire at my heels.

Congratulations on your seneschal-dom ;) Or should that be condolences? :)

Am I still picking you up on August 10th in the bleedingly early morning or did someone who will actually be in Cleveland that day volunteer? :) If so, could I get your flight info pleeeeeeeeease? Just email it to me. :)

Seneschal- SUCKER!!! You're doomed! Doomed I tell ya! Mwhahahahahahaha!! Oh- sorry- congradulations (sucker). :) Now you and Lubeck can compare notes on what a 'fun' and 'rewarding' experience it is!

Stop by Darkyard when you get a chance and I'll give you a bottle of "The Damm Cyser". I have a friend picking up my bottles today and will be bottling next week. Now I just have to come up with names. I'm afraid I may have to reuse a few from last year, but that's ok. Should be yummy- even if it was the cyser from hell.

No one has volunteered yet, but I've yet to tighten down the thumbscrews.

If you could be a backup ride I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

(I thought you were going to pick up Ursula on the 16th, but don't remember an offer to pick me up?)

reasie is picking up Ursula; I'd mentioned that I could pick you up if no one else came forward.

Actually could be fun, going for a long air-conditioned drive the morning after the hafla ;) And would give me an excuse to stop in on Edward who's not coming out till the second week.

Thanks a ton, I'll let you know of no one that's going to be in town offers.
