My paper's going reasonably well, though I need to go through some of the reading again and make sure my claims are reasonable... It's cold here, and I apparently left my heater on all day while I was at work, grr.
I found some old episodes of The Tick, which can be quite amusing at times. I wish I could just get the scripts though, as it's really the writing that I watch them for.
One of the mailing lists I'm on is having yet another spasm of sillyness... Viking a Pirate "name generators", how gloriously original.
It's rather odd that my birthday's in a week, I'm nearly always surprised by it, but this year appears to be different. Not that I'm going to have a party or anything, oh no. Ursula's flying in that night, so this might be the first non-depressing birthday I've had in four years or so. Not quite sure how I feel about that.
On a positive note, I found my CD with Elliott Smith stuff on it, which is very good. I've been missing it for a few months. Mmmmmm.
We had a welcoming party for two of the VPs at work today, they had good food: decent cheese, wine, and fresh strawberries, along with a bunch of stuff I couldn't eat.
