Whee, I love bizarrely inconsistent downloads... I updated systems A,B,C,D,E, and F, and got download rates of upwards of 500 KB/s. I move to system G and the downloads crawl. Of course this system has the most amount of stuff to update.

Nothing else of consequence is touching the ethernet device, so the insane amount of bandwidth that is theoretically available to me *ought* to be consumed by my uber admin-ness.

Oh well, at least I have some time to update my journal.

And I just noticed the clock was off by 12 hours. Whee.

Stupid dining services... GRAAH!

So yeah, these people are idiots. They sent out an e-mail to the entire campus about the opening of their new "diner." Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal, except for the following: This e-mail said to refer to the attached pdf file for the menu. The pdf file contained the same information as the e-mail, and a URL to where the menu could be found on their site.

Why not just put the URL in the e-mail?
