So yeah. My moped was having exhaust problems recently... Basically it was louder than it should have been and ran like shit. This was fairly easily tracked down to the crappy seal the exhaust was making with the cylinder base. I removed the exhaust and put it back on more securely. We'll see how long it holds up...
Which brings me to my next problem. My stupid god damn airbox will NOT stay on the carb. I'm guessing that the litle square nut is stripped now since I just replaced the bolt, and it wasn't tightening down when I tried to put it back on for the third time while riding home tonight. I totally need to beat this problem into submission and work out some sort of custom solution that:
a) provides a good enough seal that the right amount of air enters the carb, and
b) holds the damn thing on when I ride.
Ugh!
