So yeah, the last two episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion were extremely strange. The viewer is taken through an hour of various characters being insecure and having chimeras of the other characters mock them and detail their insecurities.
It all ends with the main character standing on a blasted plain of blue earth with all the other characters around him clapping. "TO ALL THE CHILDREN - CONGRATULATIONS!"
So. Fucked. Up.
I've heard that the first movie Death and Rebirth is no better, but that the second End of Evangelion actually makes some sense, and serves as a good point to end the series. Unfortunately that second film is not yet available in the US (at least not on DVD). Alas.
I did some work on my armour last night. I drilled holes in my new arms to attach them to a gambeson, and I started putting together a new demi-gauntlet. I had to cut a bit of the leather off of the inside of the rerebrace on the arms, but now they fit quite well.
