I've been slowly but steadily cleaning out my apartment, getting rid of things I know I will not want to drag across the country. Today I cleaned and recycled a bunch of bottles I had stored in case I ever did more brewing (which I haven't yet). The "recycling center" nearest my place is a green dumpster behind a fire station, and I had to really stretch to be able to open the top and put in my bags. Alas, Cleveland is not enlightened enough to have curb-side recycling, and it seems like they want to actively discourage recycling at all. It's odd, because I know some of the suburbs have curb-side recycling, including Cleveland Heights, which is right up the "hill" from my place.

Anyway, this week I'm going to make a number of trips to our illustrious dumpster, I still have tons of bottles left.

Also in my cleaning adventures, I came upon a letter from a friend of mine that I haven't heard from in years. I sent her a letter to her parents' address, hopefully she will get it somehow.

Next step: start packing! I have tons of books to pack and some to sell. So far I've only packed up [livejournal.com profile] ursule's stuff, and I need to get cracking on my own.

One month until I move out.
