Finally, I was able to check my e-mail today for the first time in nearly a week. Of course there wasn't much there, but oh well. My DSL should be active next Friday, so I shall soon be reunited with that essential part of my soul I have been missing so... the internet.

I haven't read back on my friends pages yet, nor visited the various message boards I frequent. Have no fear, gentle readers, soon I will fulfill my obligations.

Modems suck, viva la broadband!

I can *so* sympathize -- not only was I not able to check my email for a whole week, I was across the ocean from all my friends! ;) It's very reassuring to have that source of communication restored...

We're moving tomorrow so technically we won't have broadband for a couple days (and since we aren't getting a phone line, dial-up isn't an option either).

Luckily, TB found someone a couple buildings down in our complex that has an open wireless access point. Both of us are going to be parked in the spaces outside that apartment a lot until our digital cable is hooked up.
