I'm back, and feel like talking. Things have been rather hectic lately, and my money situation is a bit painful. The day Jeremy got here, the back brakes on my car died a rather violent death. Luckily it occured in my driveway after we had gotten back from the airport. So, I had it towed and repaired, $850 right there, out of a smallish paycheck. Well, last week, my alternator died. Now, mind you, I'm only paid ONCE a month, so I was still hurting from the brake job. $384 later, I have my car back, and about $10 in my account. Not only that, but the day my alternator died, I had to get both Jeremy and Ursula to the airport for their flights home. Yay taxis.
For the brake job, Ursula was around and we just used her AAA card to get a free tow, because apparently my card isn't good anymore. So I begged my family for an AAA card, and they helped me out.
Pennsic was great. I have only a few photos, but I'll put them up sometime.
Last week I went to a Beowulf super-computing class for two days down in columbus. It was informative, and very interesting. One of the clients wants to make/buy a beowulf cluster sometime soon, so yeah.
More later maybe, I have a class coming up.
