ursule and I went to An Tir September Crown Tourney and had a lovely time. The site was on the other side of Puget Sound by hood canal, and had a lovely view. The weather was pleasant and the only minor annoyance about our campsite was that we were on a bit of a hill.
I spent most of the weekend working with the Moneyer's guild people, learning how to beat metal into an even(ish) sheet from bars, cutting blanks from that sheet, and striking them into coins. I made 30 this weekend, which puts me at 35 done out of my 100 required to move onto being a journeyman (I'm an apprentice now.) Though I also have to make my first set of dies for that, which is no small task.ursule apparently spent most of the event knitting, which isn't too astonishing.
Unfortunately, I didn't sleep very well and am dizzy with fatigue today (literally). I'm annoyed because tonight is moped monday, and even after two cups of coffee and a cup of tea I'm too out of it to ride safely.
kbarrans got into a nasty sounding wreck this weekend too. Heal up quickly.
