I spent much of this evening working on the moped. I removed my ammo can, drilled new holes in it and put it back on (with locktight on the bolts) so that it's easier to open now. Hopefully it will be a bit more resistant to bumpy roads and such...
I also put on my performance exhaust, which was kind of a pain. I ended up not having to make a special bracket for it, as the connection at the front of the pipe just screwed on to one of the engine mount bolts. The Vespa ones must be shorter, because it didn't quite fit. It looks like I'm going to have to remove some of the right side cover, since it butts up against the expansion chamber now and wont stay on in the front.
Everything looked great, and I was about to test the new pipe after I put a new jet in the carb, but when I turned on the fuel petcock the carb leaked gas all over. I'll take a look at it tomorrow night, I need to sleep now.
