Ahh, poor Jerome. We took him to the vet a few weeks ago because he was yelping out while eating, and we discovered that he had a bad case of gingivitis (gum infection). Today they knocked him out and removed a ton of teeth, and he's still very groggy. He had a bandage on his leg that they said to remove after an hour, but I removed it after only 30 minutes since he was trying to remove it with his very sore teeth. Poor guy, he's all curled up under the coffee table looking miserable. Soon we'll have to haul him out and give him some painkillers.

Also apparently there's a couple living under the bridge right by our apartment now. The guy came over and said hello to Jerome when I was bringing him in from the car, and nearly told me his life story.

poor kitty
does he have enough teeth to be able to eat normally once his gums heal up?

Cats don't actually need teeth to eat wet or dry cat food, unless the chunks are really huge.

Hello! Excuse me for posting in your LJ randomly, but I happened to come across your page because you had the SCA listed underneath your interests. I find that quite intriguing. I am a member of the SCA in the Shire of Bronzehelm. I am a Welsh Romani.

Well... yo! I've been involved in the SCA for about 5 years now, it's certainly been entertaining.

I have only been a member for a year now, but I love it!
