So yeah.

Ursula and I have been unhappy with our current place for "a while now," for a variety of reasons. We've been scouring craigslist and other sources for weeks looking for a place that fits our relatively tight list of constraints (easy to get to UW, allows pets, hardwood floors a huge plus, decent kitchen, etc.) Affordable places have been few and far between.

This weekend we looked at a lovely place in Queen Anne. It's a bit further away than we'd like, but the neighborhood is great, and it's an easy walk to catch an express bus that goes directly to the UW. 900 square feet (about 100 more than our current place), hardwood floors, nice kitchen, PLUS a rentable garage. Alas, someone had already placed a deposit on it! The current resident showed us around anyway, and we thought "well, we'll keep our fingers crossed."

I just got an email saying the person who placed the deposit fell through!

Very cool, and even cooler that it's a place on Queen Anne with bus service anywhere. Let me know when you need moving hands and if you have any more gold key stuff I should get from you.

It's not that bad of a bus ride! And I'm sure we'll be spending lots of time the U district... (you could have us over! :D )
