I posted a few more pictures from the terrace, as well as a bunch of various bits of armour in the Military Museum (by request). Check out my flickr page to see them. :)

Sounds tasty, like Israeli breakfasts. I'll have to go check out the rest of the pictures.

I caved and ordered the tent, but I still need to make the two support and one ridge polls. Would you be interested in showing me how to use the wood shop in exchange for ice cream or something? I suppose I should go buy the wood while I'm at it.

Maybe we could have a tent painting party this summer...

Totally. Did you want the poles by this weekend? If so, we'll need to head over there this afternoon (they're open between 1:30 and 3:30 today), or tomorrow (anytime outside of lunch).

What's your schedule like?

I don't know if the tent will be here by tomorrow. If it is, polls by this weekend would rock but are not essential. If not then I'm in no rush and I think this might require enough other work to split the ridge poll that it might not be a one day project. Tomorrow would be better as I actually have to go buy the wood (yay for morning fieldtrips!). Home Depot would carry suitable hardwood 2x4s, yes? The setup guide suggests a 3x3 octagon (from a 4x4) for the polls.

Right. And I'll need paint and linseed oil to seal them and make them nice, but that's my problem.

The food is one of my favorite things about Turkey! Yay!
