This weekend I went on a cleaning frenzy, which made at least some impact on the general level of craziness in my apartment. My books are all organized, and this is a Very Good Thing. Seriously, I am much happier when my books are in order. I think I might move my bed or something... my bed room could use moving around. I need to attack the living room first though, as my couch is currently being useless in the spare room, and there aren't very many places to sit. I think I just figured out how I'm going to do it, yay.

It would be ideal if I could totally clean out the spare (crap) room, and use it for stuff, since it is well lit and lacks the big-mucking furnace that my living room has. The only good solution there is to make my bedroom the spare room, and turn the current spare room into my bedroom. Not sure I like that much though.

I could also turn the spare room into a living room, and move all the junk into the living room, though that's a strange arrangement. Clearly I must first unpack and break down all of the boxes I have in there. I'm sure I have stuff that can be thrown away, or store more efficiently.

Work has been decent but busy lately. We have been able to get quite a bit of data back from various tape backups, though it has been a very difficult process.

Through the magic of the wayback machine, I have unearthed a few old pages from my website. Alas, none of the button graphics are still there, but there's some neat stuff none the less. At some point (after doing a genereal overhaul of my current site), I'll put these forth with more explaination.

The journal is particularly strange to read, as my life was extremely fucked-up then. I'm going to let this fulminate a while longer, then post some sort of analysis of what I see combined with what I remember. It's very strange.

It's true. About a week ago I received a packet in the mail containing a college drinking survey and $1. I kept the dollar and returned the card saying I was not interested in completing the survey, and to have them remove me from their list.

Today, I received a nielson's television ratings survey thingy, containing $5. Since I don't have a television, I can't really complete the survey. Entering a zero in the "how many TVs do you own?" field was amusing though.
