Another day, another mountain

Well, the apartment situation is slightly less fucked now. Yesterday I told the first landlord we talked to to shove off. We waited for a week for her to make up her mind, and she never did. So yesterday we put down a holding deposit on another place, and our credit check seems to have gone through fine. Theoretically we could move immediately if we sign the lease, but that would make me a bit more insane, and the building manager does have a few more things to do to the place...

Anyway it's a nice apartment, apparently built for the 1962 world's fair in Seattle, and has been upgraded in various ways since then. Parking will be annoying until we can get a spot in the lot, but oh well.
