Moped Monday was a blast as always, though on our ride we had five (!) breakdowns. I think they all got fixed up... My new ammocan saddlebag works fairly well, but I mounted it a bit too close to the seat so it's hard to open... I may swap the one I mounted to the other side and drill new holes in it to solve that problem. Definitely need to get the second one on too.

Shortly after I left the ride in the U District, the front brakes siezed. Pushing the ped home that last 1/2 mile was hard as hell, but I got it back. I'll have to take the drum apart tonight after work and see what's up inside.

So it turns out that the brakes on my moped are just fine. However, the little black box that regulates power for the turn signals had falled down and gotten wedged in between the rear wheel and one of the shock absorbers. It melted a little bit and spewed plastic shavings all over the back end, but it looks like everything is fine.

Yeah. Not having to repair the brakes = good.
