So yeah, I'm in Portland, OR this weekend. I came to go to a wedding, which transpired this afternoon, and was quite a bit of fun. I got to see many friends who I wish I could hang out with more often. Alas.
I arrived in Portland Saturday evening, aruond 7:00 PM. Originaly, my flight was to leave Cleveland at 10:30, and deposit me in Portland at 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, I was bumped from that flight to a later one. I suppose that the standard "2 hours ahead of time" method works for a reason. Oh well. I still wish I could have bought a Friday evening flight.
My flight leaves at 6:45 tomorrow morning. Blarg.
Anyway, the wedding of Vandy and Hank was fun. Ursula's mother made quite a bit of wonderful food, which we transported to the event. We were about 15 minutes late (for various reasons), and missed the actual ceremony. However, many of the standard post wedding things were still available to us. I fortunately did not have to endure the throwing of the garter, due to a photographer blocking my way.
Even though things have been very rushed, this trip has been refreshing. I needed a break from Cleveland rather badly. I wouldn't really classify Pennsic as a vacation... Some day I'll be able to spend a significant amount of time here. I quite like the Northwest.
Upcoming events:
New helmet sometime soon.
Driving to Philly next weekend with Ursula's stuff.
Trip to Europe with Ursula.
Much pondering about transferring to another school.
Thanks for listening, more updates as life continues to pass me by.
Oh, Steve got a job. Yay Steve!
