Does anyone read this? I may never know. Since I have not yet received a single comment...
Anyway, Lyonette became a man-at-arms to Sir Ephraim last weekend after court, apparently. This is indeed a good thing, and I think that there is a lot of opportunity there.
Supposedly I'm going fabric shopping tonight to get stuff to make two new things: a gambeson (padded undergarment for medieval combat), and a coif (unpadded, so that my hair doesn't get ripped out whenever I take off my helmet). I get to buy lots of linen, yay.
I also need to do laundry tonight, and get my oil changed sometime this weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to work on the fort again, which will at least help acclimitize me to the heat and humidity of Pennsic weather. I need to contact Alaric and let him know that I will be going... hmm.
I finally got ssh working on the baronial mail-server, an old sun sparcstation2 running Linux. This is a good thing, as now I can add and remove accounts at will. Before I had to borrow a monitor, it was messy.
Ursula and I make Thai curry the other night, it turned out slightly sweet, which was very interesting. I am looking forward to the leftovers tonight.
I also finally repaired the broken strap on my leg armour, I hope it holds more than a few weeks... I do need to buy some strap-weight leather sometime, though. I also need more rivets for a new arm harness... and new body armour... etc.
Ahh well, it's Friday and the day is almost over. Be well, everyone.

Hmm Mara, we may have met at some point, I've been to a few events in Dayton (I was at Ceilidh this year...), I've been in the SCA for a little over a year, most of that here in Cleveland (except for last summer when I was in An Tir.)
Lets see... I'm a man-at-arms to Sir Alaric, my SCA name is Donasian, I fight quite a bit, and am interested mostly in late 12th century France (Brittany in particular.) I'm getting into armouring, and I'm finally making some more garb.
I guess that's about it!
