So yeah, I wont be attending U. Wisconsin-Madison in the fall. I was rejected from the Engineering program, so I requested that they send my application down to the undergrad admissions office just in case...

As many of you know, I was seperated from CWRU in the fall of my Junior year. I was readmitted in the fall of 2001, and began taking classes part-time. Since then, I've held a 3.0, but my overall GPA is still just shy of a 2.0.

Even though the past four semesters have gone rather well for me, they haven't gone well enough to overshadow my previous failings.

Anyway, I'm doing 5 credit-hours this semester, and expect to do fairly well in my courses. I can take 3 hours this summer as well...

Sorry to hear the bad news, but does this mean you're stuck here for another year? Sounds fine with me, you still have friends here who want you around... Lubeck

Hey Brian,
That sucks but really, its their loss if they won't take you.

So what does this mean? Did Ursula get funding? If so, what are you going to do?

Our current status is rather up in the air. She's been accepted to two schools, but neither of them have money for her yet. I might be able to push for a provisional enrollment into one of those schools... If not I'll either reapply for the spring, or take classes for a year or so at city/community college to prove I can hold a nice high GPA, then reapply.

In any case, I'll certainly be moving away somewhere at the end of this summer.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that -- rejection blows, whatever form it takes. If it makes you feel any better, I know that UW-M is difficult to get into for even non-transferring resident undergrads. Like Fatty said, though -- their loss.
