I forgot to bring my camera last weekend, argh! There were some great possible photos too. Oh well, I did have fun.

Ursula and I arrived on site at just after midnight. After about an hour of wandering around, we finally found the people we were camping with, set up our tent, and collapsed. We did get a lovely ten hours of sleep, which made the next day very livable.

In the morning, we checked out the merchants, had some food, and watched the Midrealm-Meridies great court. After that, I ran back to camp, threw on my armour, and ran back to the battlefield, getting there just in time for the second field battle. We were outnumbered by quite a bit that day, but ended up having an even number of wins with our Meridian foes. They won both field battles and one of the bridges, while we won one bridge battle, the unbelted champions battle, and the champion "battle" (this was different from the unbelted champions battle as it was a set of single combat bouts).

I got to be in the front line of a column charge during the bridge battle, that was very fun :)

After the melees I went and did pick-ups for a while. Unfortunately I was so tired from the heat and fighting, that I was only able to fight two people out of my goal of five. This quest is going to go a lot faster after war season is finished.

My coif worked a lot better this weekend that last wednesday, since I didn't soak it in water this time. It kept my head a bit cooler inside my helmet, and when I took my helm off, it helped cool me down even faster. I like it.

The long drives were mostly uneventful, although we got to witness a nice thunderstorm on the way back through Columbus. We also bought some fireworks for the 4th, I get the day off of work, which is going to be *very* nice.

Since I got my oil changed I have been getting significantly better gas milage, from ~29 MPG to ~34-35 MPG. Haven't done the exact calculations yet, but those are my estimates.

The new fiscal year has started at work, and all of my clients have to re-sign their contracts. All sorts of other things are occuring at the same time as well, so we're fairly busy here.

Well that's all for now, more sometime later probably.
