Well, I went out and saw Return of the King tonight, and was reasonably pleased. It was a different "vision" of the story than that inside my head, of course, but they still stayed fairly true to it... At least the spirit of the books anyway.
But seriously, someone really needs to teach Hollywood people how to use a sword. There was so much over-dramatic flailing about, spinning, and general nonsense that it challenged the credulity of the film. Of course the average viewer isn't going to be bothered by it, since it looks "cool."
Oh well, at least they didn't totally screw up Faramir like they did in The Two Towers, and the surfboarding was kept to a relative minimum. ;)

krikey - it's the kitty hunter
I use this 'ere laundry basket to protect both myself and the kitty from harm while we film our documentary. It isn't good to actually touch one because the cause itching in humans. It's a part of their natural defence. In the wild this kitte would eat bugs and all sorts of other nasty jiggers. Here in captivity the kitie just eats kibble. That is the reason for the distastefull breath he has. Notice how easily his head fits in my mouth. This is a tecnique we call the kittie tamer. It makes them docile and easy to handle.
